Anyone know if Jascha Heifetz used a "silent violin" for practice? (Yamaha makes them I think). One?
is supposedly advertised on ebay selling for $10,000. I know $10,000 isn't an unusual price for a violin, but I'm quite skeptical that Heifetz ever owned such a thing
No he did not. We had a concert in Tacoma, WA and the soloist used Heifetz's stradivarius.
