All Major, Minor, Harmonic, Melodic Scales for Violin please help?
Hey, I'm a violinist in great need of help. My goal by the end of summer (2 months so until Sept 7th) is to memorize all the major and melodic minor, harmonic minor, and natural minor scales. I want to memorize all of these scales in 1st-7th position, in all the key signatures. If there are websites with images and fingerings for this, that would be a great help. Or, if you could please give a really large and clear view of "Mel Bay's Violin Chart" by Martin Norgaard, that would be greatly appreciated! But, also scales in other positions, too! Thanks!! (:
if you put it in whole-half form it would be easier for example: major is: wwhwwwh

This should get you started. The main difference between the natural minor scale. harmonic minor scale and melodic minor scale is this
Natural Minor - - - 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 b7 8 (Aeolian Mode)
Harmonic Minor- - 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 N7 8
Melodic Minor - - - 1 2 b3 4 5 N6 N7 8 - b7 b6 5 4 b3 2 1
Basically, the Harmonic Minor has a flat 6 to a Natural seventh, giving it that Arabian sound
the Melodic Minor has a Natural 6 and Natural 7 going up, and a flatter sixth and flatted seventh going down, just as you would play a natural minor scale
Hopw this gets you started
