Should I advertise my price on my website?
I just moved to a new area and I'm making a website to advertise teaching lessons in the music studio of my home. I'm going to charge $120/month for violin lessons once a week in half hour sessions. In NJ, this is neither a notably high or low price. Should I include the cost on my website, or should they be calling to ask? I've noticed that businesses, particularly services, don't tend to advertise their price for some reason. What is better for business? Thanks.
This is purely a consumer's point of view, no psychology involved here, but I say yes. Most likely I am not going to call, rather I will continue looking for one that lists prices. Only if their prices seem outrageous will I go back and call other places. If you are in an area with little or no competition, then mane you don't need to as they are going to call you anyway.
