Which Violin Instructor Should I Utilize?
Hey,
Wanna take up Violin Lessons - narrowed it to two instructors...
Instructor One:
- Master in Music Performance and a Master in Music Education
- 1 Hour Lessons/week for beginners
- 1 on 1
- In his home or mine
----> $25/hour
- Flexible Hours
-Teaches Violin/Viola (not sure he can play it or not)
- Is okay with idea of renting instruments
Instructor Two:
- Not sure of education
- 30 min Lessons/week for beginners
- 1 on 1
- In his home
----> $30/30 minutes
- Flexible Hours
- Teaches Violin/Viola
- Is part of the City Orchestra
- Violin Suzuki methods???
- Has connections to places where u can buy a violin from - prefers that you buy one 'cause you'd save money in the long run - the violins he can hook you up have no brand but they are made in Europe and he says they sound great.
So what do you guys think? Being a newbie I have no idea
EDIT: Just talked to Instructor One... he says he plays in Orchestra of the City too
Instructor one... I don't like the Suzuki method. It doesn't teach you technique...all you do is memorize...
