my bridge bends when i tune my violin. do i need a new one?
i got a new violin a few weeks ago. when i tune my violin, it kinda bends toward the fingerboard, and then i gotta re-adjust it. maybe the string tension is too much for it?
my instument only has pegs, and one fine tuner for the e. not sure if that effects it, but it's a possibility i think.
Just two months ago I got a new violin and my bridge did the same thing.
My orchestra teachers took a look at it and told me that my bridge did not fit the shape of the body of the violin.
That might be the case with yours. You may want to take it to a violin shop and have them sand it down to the shape of your violin.
