Are violin string sizes differ only in length?
Or are strings for smaller violin's not only shorter but thinner? Can strings for larger violins be cut shorter to fit smaller violins? Can 4/4 strings be used in a 1/2 violin?
strings for bigger insrements are longer and thicker.
just get the strings made for that kind of instrement. otherwise it will give a different sound. and probably worse sound.
