Is this violin from e-bay for a five yr old?

Hi, I have been looking for a real violin for a child around the age of 5.

Is this one that I have found on ebay, the size for a 5 yr old?

If it isn't ,does any one know where I could find a good for a 5 yr old online thats under $100?

A five year old might need a 1/16 or a 1/8. S/he would have to be measured.

The only time I might buy a violin off Ebay is if I had a hundred dollars or so to flush down the toilet. Same with Amazon or any of the other internet discount places. What you get is a cheap, violin-shaped piece of wood that's hard to play, hard to tune, and sounds terrible. Most of those discounters don't even bother to set the instrument up right; they just send you basic unfitted bridges, pegs and strings and expect you to put it together yourself.

If you want that five year old to have a good experience with violin you'd be much better off renting a violin from a reputable string store. Kids outgrow violins in a year or two and there's no sense in buying one fractional size after another.
