I'm thinking of learning to play an instrument. Which should I look into?
I'm just getting out of the Army and will be taking three classes a day (can't take evening classes 'til next semester). In addition to that, I'll be going to the gym Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 2 hours or so and taking a class that might add an additional hour; I haven't seen the schedule yet. I'm thinking about learning an instrument in my free time just so I don't go nuts when my husband is deployed and because it's supposed to be good for people, but am unsure where to start. I'm leaning against piano because it'd be impractical to purchase, so I wouldn't be able to practice at all. Guitar seems like the obvious choice, but I would like advice.
I played the violin in middle school and was okay at it, but never practiced because it bored me.
A banjo sounds like fun. how about the harmonica.
