Thinking about trying violin...?

I've always loved the violin and am thinking about picking up a cheap variation to see if I like it. Is it possible to get a semi-decent sounding violin for $150 or less? I'm not looking for great quality or anything, just something that sounds like a violin and that I can learn on.

I would go for a 200 dollar one 150 might not be so good.I played the violin for 10 years and counting.I loved it.good luck. stick with it because it will get harder before it gets easier.if you can afford it get some private lessons.

the strings cost 15 for the good ones,do not buy the cheap ones.do not buy off of e-bay,buy from a used store if you have to get a used one.

it will be hard to read the music because the guitar and violin because they use different clefs,one is trebel clef and the
other is base clef.

there are a few things you need:
1.rosin
2.have your bow re-haired if the hair is fraying
3.case
4.private lessons
